DET Ventures was begun to assist small to medium businesses in any circumstance that they would feel a need. Our principal, Tom Errington, is a business veteran, with over 40 years of experience. Tom has served firms both big and small. His time has been spent in many different areas.

Technically, Tom has progressed from staff to senior positions in short order. He has experience as well as certifications in a number of engineering roles, such as design, process, quality and environment. Needs of a manufacturing business required Tom to develop programming as well as database management skills. In addition, automation experience allowed for support of leading edge technology on international and domestic projects.

Tom has served as an operations vice president. Within this and other positions, he has been able to hone skills for supply chain and a myriad of other functions. His mentoring skills allowed for quick development of subordinates, enhancing effectiveness of the organization. Tom is an accomplished design and developer of various infrastructure projects in manufacturing scenarios. Tom’s certification in Lean and Six Sigma was integral in enhancing various business systems.

Tom has experienced a plethora of quality situations from many aspects. As a certified lead auditor in quality management systems he is able to address both auditor and auditee perspectives. Tom’s accomplishments include design, development, and management of quality systems in manufacturing, medical devices and environmental operations. His business acumen coupled with his quality and technical background has allowed for optimal instances of positive quality control along with effective productivity.
